Travelling corner: My favourite corners of Tenby, Wales, UK

Summer is coming and today I’d like to share with you a place we enjoy going to in summer. It’s in Wales, a little town, called Tenby. Today, I’d like to take you to the corners of Tenby we enjoy visiting every year or which we discovered most recently.

Caldey Island

I wrote about this island before (here) and every time we’re in Tenby or nearby, we take a boat trip to this beautiful little island. It has rich nature, clear sea shore and (extra!) dark chocolate made by the Cistercian monks living on the island. Every time we come, I also like to visit one of the little churches of the abbey for its beautiful yet simple architecture.

South Beach and North Beach

Both beaches are beautiful: the South Beach has a long stretch of sand and a view of Caldey Island, whereas the North Beach is like from a different century: a small sandy beach surrounded by nature on one side, and the town’s harbour on the other.

Museums

I like visiting and revisiting museums and art galleries. One of them is Tenby’s Museum & Art Gallery . I wrote about it here.

Recently, we visited Tudor House, which is a town house situated in the heart of Tenby. We definitely had an interesting (and a bit of a ‘horror’) history lesson about post-medieval times. I’m not going to say more, as I don’t want to spoil your experience if you plan to pop in for a visit there.
